2012-11-03 LLS Light the Night Walk Harrisburg
On Saturday November 3rd I had the pleasure of photographing an event that hits home for me as my father passed away in 1999 from Leukemia. It was a cold and windy night but many supporters came out to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night Harrisburg Walk on City Island. If you have never participated in one of these you should consider it even if the blood cancers have not torn away a loved one. It is a great celebration complete with two bands (one playing the event and one local high school band to lead the walk), hamburgers, hotdogs on the grill and a 2 mile walk over one of the coolest bridges in Harrisburg while you enjoy the sites of a fireworks display. Take a look at the images from this year's event and consider donating your time and a little bit of cash to a very deserving cause next season. Please take a moment to visit their official site to make a donation as well as keep this event on your calendar for next year: http://www.lightthenight.org/cpa/ Donations to the cause can be submitted via check and made out to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and be mailed to the Central PA chapter office: LLS Office at 2405 Park Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110
